Project 1
The woman is the grandmother of three children. Their father, her son, passed away, leaving her as the primary guardian and custodian of the kids. Unfortunately, the grandmother faces several health challenges that make it difficult for her to provide for the family’s needs. At Wazee Trust, we have decided to step in and help improve her livelihood by renovating her shelter into a decent and safe home. Additionally, we are supporting her family’s nutrition by providing essential food supplies and household items every quarter of the year. We are currently in the process of raising funds to rebuild the family’s shelter and ensure they live in dignity and comfort.
Project 2
Both the man and the woman are elderly, each above 70 years of age. They were unfortunate not to have children and therefore have no support system whatsoever. Currently, the elderly man is the sole provider and caregiver for his wife, despite his own age and limitations. The couple lives in a small shelter that offers little protection—during rainy days, it leaks and cannot keep them dry, while on sunny days, the heat inside becomes unbearable. At Wazee Trust, we have resolved to restore the dignity of this elderly couple by rebuilding their shelter to make it larger, safer, and more comfortable. In addition, we plan to establish a kitchen garden to help improve their nutrition and provide a sustainable source of food.
Project 3
The elderly woman lives alone in her compound, having lost her husband 17 years ago. Although she has children who live in the city, they rarely visit or check on her. Her only source of support is a kind neighbor who occasionally provides her with meals. Due to her advanced age, she is unable to engage in productive activities to meet her daily needs. When our team visited her, she was overjoyed, as she rarely receives visitors at her home. At Wazee Trust, we have decided to launch an initiative to provide her with a caregiver who will offer constant support and companionship. Additionally, we plan to renovate her shelter, transforming it into a decent semi-permanent structure to improve her comfort and living conditions.
